Classes and Class Rules
RJ Speed Legends (Charger/Semi-Pro) (2 cell)

Charger Class is for NEW novice racers, Semi-Pro is for any
racer with prior R/C racing experience. If you place in the top 3 in 4
or more races in Charger you will move up to the Semi-Pro Class.

This class will be run during Oval and On-Road race days.
​
Chassis
1. RJ Speed legends kit only. 1 piece Front Axel Plate (5244) ONLY, **NO 3 piece (5246)**
2. Servo can be mounted in any location in the front of car.
3. No shaving any of the chassis or drilling holes to reduce weight.
4. Only RJ Speed legends chassis parts can be used.
5. Bearings can be used in Charger or Semi-Pro classes. Absolutely NO CERAMICS!
6. Steering rods are OPEN can use stock or Turnbuckles. STOCK steering hubs only!
7. SPEC Gearing. 81-tooth spur. CHARGER is a 16-tooth / SEMI-PRO is a 23-tooth pinion. 48 pitch gears only.
8. No changing of the front springs. Box stock springs only, no altering
9. A bumper must be used. May use the HVRC full front bumper or factory front bumper.
10. All parts must be available for purchase from the RJ Speed website.
11. No (3D) printed parts. No side trays for weight.
12. Rear Axle width: Min: 4.91 in (124.7mm) / Max: 5 in (127mm) This measures from the wheel mount surface side to side. (outside rear hubs) NO EXCEPTIONS!
13. RJ Speed axle and rear hubs only! RJ Speed part #5318 (diff side) and #5314 (set screw side) aluminum hubs can be used in place of stock. Any other hubs (even if RJ Speed) are illegal.
14. Absolutely NO altering of stock parts
15. Additional Diff balls can be used to utilize the outer circle only (16 max) NO Ceramics!
Body
1. Only RJ Speed full fender legends bodies are legal.
2. No scraping of the body or drilling holes to reduce weight.
3. Must use RJ Speed Legend body cut on the cut lines.
4. Windows must remain intact. No holes or cutting out the windows
5. Body post/mount holes must be punched in the factory marked hole locations.
Tires
Blue, purple or yellow stripe foam spec tire or CRC Track Magnets only. All 4 tires must be either rubber or foam No mixing of Blue, Yellow or Purple tires.
Electronics
1. Any steering servo can be used.
2. Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC only.
3. DYNAMITE 35T Brushed motor (DYNS1216) OR 540 Crawler Brushed Motor 35 Turn (RC4ZE0005) sold at HVRCS
4. Standard size hard case 5200 Mah 2 cell Lipo. 50c max! NO shortie packs!

Legend cars are designed to be a SPEC racing class. This purpose of this class is to have very similar cars that run close lap times. If it is not listed on this rule sheet, That means it is probably NOT legal!

Traxxas Slash Pro. 2026 Rules
Model number. TRA 58234 or 58334
Stock controllers only.
2WD HCG chassis only. Gray PN 5822/ black 5822A
Minimum ride height 15 mm.
Pro Line body mounts permitted. No carbon fiber or metal body mounts. Plastic only.
Traxxas Slash front and rear bumpers required. Front bumper may be flipped for body mounting.
All drive-line parts must be stock Traxxas slash plastic parts. Rear control arms cannot be flipped or switched. L and R must be visible from the top.
12mm hexes. Gray on the front, black on the rear.
ODD NASCAR bodies only. Part numbers 2201 Camaro, 2203 mustang and, 2205 Camry. At no time is the body allowed to drag on the track surface. Indication of body dragging is DQ offense.
JACO 2055 LP tires. NO SYPING. Track approved rubber tires permitted. Track approved tires prep only (SXT 3.0,SXT 3.0 Lite, JDubz Tyre Rub ONLY).
Bearings, light blue seals only. Seals cannot be altered in any way. This means wheel and transmission bearings.
Transmission must remain stock. Can be cleaned out. No locked differentials. Differential fluid open. Gray or black transmission cases aloud. Must be a PRO-Built Magnum 272 Traxxas transmission.
Battery- 5200 mah/ 7.4 V/ 50c/ 2s - 8.44v MAX. Battery dimensions 5 1/2” long, 1 7/8” wide and 1” high.
Steering servo - 2075. Traxxas white servo saver only. Traxxas white steering bell crank only.
Traxxas BL-2s motor and EASY SET esc only. ESC must be in stock location behind the battery, No cutting motor decals..
Receiver box required and in stock location.
Shocks- Traxxas gray big bore plastic only. Limiter’s permitted. Maximum front 12mm rear 18mm limiters. Any longer and your ride height will not meet the 15mm minimum ride height. Keep in mind all these specs were based on new tires. Keeping check on tire ware is your responsibility.
Springs- Traxxas white springs only. Front 5857 rear 5858. Front springs 2 5/16” high, rear 2 3/4” high freestanding.
Gear 20 pinion/ 90 spur.
Tech marshal has the final word. Only the driver of the car can be at the tech table while being checked. In the event said driver is racing in another event, he can only select another driver from that race to observe the tech of his car. If you were not driving in the race, you have NO say in the tech process.

BODIES: - Protoform RT-C Body (Part #1239-25) / MON-TECH Racing DEGA 2.0 Oval Open Body. (TMB0220101). Super Rad (SuperTRK10) SR-21 & SR-23 are legal (Rear of body only trimmed as high as the trim line. No air relief holes above the trim lines in the rear. (i.e. leave rear of body in).
Tamiya TT
This class will be run during on-road and oval race days.
Tamiya TT is designed to be an entry level class for beginners to get into on-road racing at a low cost with a platform that is easy to work on and has limited tuning options to worry about. This objective of this class is learning to drive and race other drivers and not about the fast part/adjustment of the week. Experienced racers who wish to join this class are encouraged to use their experience and knowledge to help the beginners for whom the class is intended. Searching for gray areas and ways to exploit the rules for a speed advantage is highly discouraged and may result in your removal from the class.
RULES: Tamiya TT-01 and TT-02 kits only Battery: Any 2 cell hard cased LiPo battery, maximum 8.44 volts
ESC: Any brushed speed control with any battery connector, must have the Tamiya bullet connectors for motor hook-up, no direct soldering the motor.
Motor: 23 turn Tamiya RS-540 Torque-Tuned Motor Part (TAM54358)
Gearing: TT-0161T spur and 22T pinion part# 50357. TT-02 70T spur and 25T pinion part# 50477.
Shocks: Kit friction dampers or Tamiya plastic CVA oil filed shocks. Springs: Kit or CVA chrome springs only. All 4 springs must be the same.
Body: Stock 1/10 scale lexan car body that is a close facsimile to an actual production vehicle. NO touring car bodies!
Tires: Stock kit tires or optional Gravity spec USGT tires only.
Ride Height: Minimum 6mm with a droop minimum of 10mm. Droop will be measured by placing the chassis on 10mm blocks and all 4 tires must maintain contact with the surface the blocks are on. This rule is to minimize the number of limiters in the shocks and to maintain suspension movement.
Differentials: Stock gear differentials only, no sealed gear or ball dills. Grease only in the differential, diff action must be free and easy, NO locked differentials.
No extra added weight
Optional Part Upgrades: TAMIYA and YEAH Racing Option parts that are legal: Bearings, Tamiya plastic CVA shocks, 53619, 50746, 54753 Tamiya Aluminum wheel hex's Part tt's 53569, 53570, 53823 Tamiya aluminum motor mount 11-01 53666, TT-02 54558 Tamiya aluminum propeller shaft: TT-0153620 TT-01E 54026, TT-02 54501, 54502, Tamiya universal sets: TT-01 53790 & 53792,1-T-02 54477 & 53792 Tamiya Aluminum steering set: TT-0154058, TT-02 54574, 54575, 54752 Tamiya turnbuckle set: TT-0153662 Any servo saver or solid servo arm (servo saver is recommended over the solid arm) Screws may be replaced with better hardware. Motor heatsinks are allowed but absolutely not necessary.
Recommended option parts are bearings and the plastic oil filled shocks.
5.5 BREAK OUT

All Late Model Cars must be complete cars with all bodywork, faux engine,driver figure and the like.
Cars should have a number on each side of the body at a minimum.
Taping or gluing the the right front tire is okay and the track rule is Tire Prep IS okay.
We reserve the right to inspect all parts of the car including a complete tear down if you podium.
Simple low to no cost mods allowed: These mods have been shown to improve the consistency and drive-ability of the car, especially when using a Lipo battery. If you need assistance performing these mods ask a fellow racer or track official.
Venting shocks by drilling cap permitted and recommended.
Adding lube (Green Slime) to the shocks internal o-ring (OPTIONAL).

Motor: 1RC 8700kv w/10T Pinion 9300KV MAX MOTOR MUST BE TECHED and labeled
Gears: Stock LM gears Only (1RC4001) (no mixing of gears)
Suspension: Stock Silver Springs and Plastic shock only C-clips are legal.
Tires: Any 1RC Late Model (treaded/studed) HARD or SOFT Tire
Body: Any 1RC Body must be complete with all bodywork for that body, faux engine,driver figure and the like.
Class: LIMITED Late Model (Lipo) - Same as above except:
Battery: Any 2s 300mah 80c or less Lipo
Motor: 1RC 8700 Brushless Motor w/ 10T Pinion 9300KV Max (NO MOTOR TAMPERING / The motor can not be opened/glued/ shimmed or resealed for any reason this includes the motor wires going into the motor. Any motor that resembles tampering will not be legal and will be disqualified) ****Subject to PRE and POST TECH at the Race directors discretion. MOTOR MUST BE TECHED and labeled

Servo: ANy/OPEN
Body: Any production 1RC body that covers the wheels and must be painted.
Mods Allowed: Any 1RC option part currently available.

(11-1-25) This is a low budget class for older pan cars, the rules are simple and easy to fallow.
Chassis: Any round cell, solid axle pan car chassis 15 yrs older min. from today. Fiberglass or carbon fiber chassis is ok. The Battery slots must be factory cut, Slider w/ battery slots /solid chassis with battery slots are ok. No solid chassis that were designed for LIPO's as these were introduced around 2008.
Battery: LIPO- 2S - Any 5200mah 50c 7.4v hard case OR 2S 3000mah 30c 7.4v REEDY WolfPack (#758) 8.44v max.
Radio: OPEN
ESC: HobbyWing 1060 ECS only. Motor must use bullet connectors, Must use a battery connector.
Servo: OPEN
Radio: OPEN
Motor: DYNAMITE 35t closed end-bell Brushed motor (DYNS1216) OR RC4WD 35t 540 Crawler Brushed Motor (RC4ZE0005). No motor tampering, Motor label MUST remain on and intact.

#4 - Finisher #2 can buy #1, #3 can buy #2, #4 can buy #3 and so on. #3, #4, #5 can not buy #1. You mush finish behind the driver to buy the motor.
#5 - If you refuse, you will be DQ'd and banned from that class indefinitely.

Gear: Single shock chassis - 81t 48p Spur / 21t 48p pinion / Triple Shock chassis 81t 48p Spur / 20t 48p pinion
Suspension: Single (Mono) shock rear pod (side damper tubes aka "swizzle stick" is okay) front suspension must have springs and move freely through the range of motion. Triple Shocks must use springs and have movement.
Tires: OPEN any foam tire specifically made for a pan car in or out of production. May cut camber into the tires
Body: Any lexan 1970's and older body (in or out of production) Window must be left clear
Weight: Minimum weight of all cars must be 41 oz on the track scales.
Bearings: Metal bearings only, no ceramics
Added Weight Okay to come up to race minimum.

There is a Motor Buy out rule in place: **Motor: Stock 28T 380 Black motor only (LOS1907) , Must use bullet connectors on motor and ESC. May use optional Motor Heatsink (LOS1920) and STOCK motor fan ONLY.

**FRONT BUMBER** The right side"Lip/tab" must be trimmed off to be flat like the rest of the bumper. A bump stop must be on the right front shock as not to let the chassis scrape the carpet. This goes on the outside of the shock shaft, fuel tubing works great, 5mm minimum ride height at full compression for the right front. This is to protect the ICE on the track from the bumper scraping the carpet and coming in contact cracking the ICE.
Losi Nascar Chassis only, no cutting or trimming of the chassis. No adjustable caster/camber/steering rods on the car (Box Stock)
Gear: 17t, 18t or 19t (48p) pinion / 59t Spur ONLY. **A hole will need to be drilled in the Top Deck in the Motor area to confirm the gear sizes.
ESC: Stock, SPMXSE3025RX Only
Servo: Box Stock - 20t spline SX108 Micro Servo
Battery: 8.44v max original Spectrum 1400mah 30c battery only. (SPMX142S30H2)
Tire: Any Losi 1/12 Nascar tire (Soft or Medium) in any configuration. LOS-1937 SOFT or LOS-1914 MED OR BSR Race Radials - 1/12 Losi NASCAR 8mm Hex BLUE or GREEN Compound.
Body: Losi Nascar Chevy, Ford or Toyota only, Must have numbers on the roof and each side. Must use stock Spoiler, body must be cut on the factory cut line, rear can not be cut out. Must use Stock Bumper, Splitter and Diffuser. No body scraping on the carpet!
Radio: Stock out of the box
Weight Min: TBA
Shocks/Springs: Box Stock, may change fluid / internal shock limiters are okay
Diffs: Stock, front and rear must rotate with minimum effort, may add fluid, no one way bearings.
Metal Bearings only, NO CERAMICS!
Mods: NONE. This class is intended to be a entry level to intermediate cost effective way to get into Oval Carpet racing. No aftermarket or aluminum parts. No plastic bending or heating to manipulate the plastic parts. STOCK is STOCK
