RJ Speed Legends (Charger/Semi-Pro) (2 cell)

Charger Class is for NEW novice racers, Semi-Pro is for any

racer with prior R/C racing experience. If you place in the top 3 in 4

or more races in Charger you will move up to the Semi-Pro Class.

This class will be run during Oval and On-Road race days.

Chassis

1. RJ Speed legends kit only.

2. Servo can be mounted in any location in the front of car.

3. No shaving any of the chassis or drilling holes to reduce weight.

4. Only RJ Speed legends chassis parts can be used.

5. Bushings ONLY in Charger. Bearings can be used in Semi-Pro. Absolutely NO CERAMICS!

6. Steering rods are OPEN can use stock or Turnbuckles. STOCK steering hubs only!

7. SPEC Gearing. 81-tooth spur. CHARGER is a 16-tooth / SEMI-PRO is a 23-tooth pinion. 48 pitch gears only.

8. No changing of the front springs. Box stock springs only, no altering

9. A bumper must be used. May use the HVRC full front bumper or factory front bumper.

10. All parts must be available for purchase from the RJ Speed website.

11. No (3D) printed parts. No side trays for weight.

12. Rear Axle width: Min: 4.91 in (124.7mm) / Max: 5 in (127mm) This measures from the wheel mount surface side to side. (outside rear hubs) NO EXCEPTIONS!

13. RJ Speed axle and rear hubs only! RJ Speed part #5318 (diff side) and #5314 (set screw side) aluminum hubs can be used in

place of stock. Any other hubs (even if RJ Speed) are illegal.

14. Absolutely NO altering of stock parts

15. Additional Diff balls can be used to utilize the outer circle only (16 max) NO Ceramics!

Body

1. Only RJ Speed full fender legends bodies are legal.

2. No scraping of the body or drilling holes to reduce weight.

3. Must use RJ Speed Legend body cut on the cut lines.

4. Windows must remain intact. No holes or cutting out the windows

5. Body post/mount holes must be punched in the factory marked hole locations.

Tires

Blue, purple or yellow stripe foam spec tire or CRC Track Magnets only. All 4 tires must be either rubber or foam No mixing of Blue, Yellow or Purple tires.

Electronics

1. Any steering servo can be used.

2. Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC only.

3. DYNAMITE 35T Brushed motor (DYNS1216)

4. Standard size hard case 5200 Mah 2 cell Lipo. 50c max! NO shortie packs!

Legend cars are designed to be a SPEC racing class. This purpose of this class is to have very similar cars that run close lap times. If it is not listed on this rule sheet, That means it is probably NOT legal!

TRAXXAS SLASH BOMBER/RENEGADE

(Updated 8/15/2023)

Renegade is for Novice Slash drivers / Bomber is for Seasoned Slash drivers. The Driver determines the class they would like to race in, the acting Race Director can advise if needed.

Chassis

1. Traxxas-HCG chassis. Must remain stock.

2. Shocks- Gray stock kit shocks only. No limiters in or outside.

1 or 2 hole pistons. May change oil.

3. Springs- stock White with no altering or cutting.

4. Wheel hex- Gray in front and black in rear only.

5. Motor- stock Titan 12T OR BL2s 3300KV Brushless Motor

6. ESC- Stock Traxxas XL ESC or BL2s (ESC Cooling Fan is Legal)

Transmission

1. Stock with no altering of gears. Stock bearings.

2. Gear- 23 or 16 pinion / 86 or 90 spur only.

3. Servo- stock servo. Stock servo saver only. No horn.

4. Tires- JACO tires (JAC2055LP) only **can be trued** (must keep its FULL WIDTH, it is allowed to round the edges) OR Bandito C2 or C3 compound. Hoosier G60 M3 and M compounds. DE Phenom D30, D40 or Clay compound.

OR Stock Traxxas tire (may be shaved down to slicks) ***If running foam, all 4 tires must foam, if running rubber all 4 tires must be rubber.

Bumpers

1. Rear bumper must remain stock and be on vehicle. Nerf wings must be on vehicle.

Body- 1/8 scale production body. Any body that covers front rear and tires, No wedge or latemodel bodies.

Battery- any 5200 mah 50c lipo. 8.44 max charge.

Radio- stock Traxxas with kit.

No aftermarket or aluminum parts.

TRAXXAS 13.5T Mud Boss

(Updated 2/1/2023)

Chassis

1 Any MudBoss Body is legal
1.1 - Any minor modification to the body must be approved before being allowed
1.2 - The optional ‘NEXTGEN’ innerpanel is allowed and must be installed following the procedures (available June 2022)

2 CHASSIS
2.1 - TRAXXAS 2wd (SLASH or RAPTOR) chassis only
2.2 - Original MFG suspension parts only, no other parts allowed (such as from RPM)
2.3 - Original MFG chassis parts only, no aftermarket hop-ups, no optional aluminum parts
2.4 - Front bumper, right side bumper and front body post brace must be removed
2.4.1 - Left side and rear bumpers can also be removed (if desired) **rear RPM bumper is allowed**
2.5 - TRAXXAS front optional bumper (TRA2735) can be used (angled down)
2.6 - Major alterations to the chassis or modification to drivetrain/suspension components is not allowed
2.7 - Electronics (rx/esc/amb) must be installed within chassis surface (no outside installation)
2.8 - Battery brace can be trimmed to allow different LiPo battery wire configuration

3 ELECTRONICS
3.1 - Any servo with a street value of $50 or lower.
3.3.2 - It is allowed to use a solid (one piece) servo horn (any brand)
3.4 - 2-cell 7.4v LiPo battery with a maximum of 5200mah and 50c, with external plug only (no “bullet type” connector)

4 ADJUSTMENTS
4.1 - TRAXXAS 76/83/86/90 spur with all transmission parts in place (slipper)
4.2 - Any pinion size
4.3 - No modifications can be made to the transmission’s case (ie.. to allow a bigger gear ratio)
4.4 - The gear cover must be off at all times to allow for visual inspection.
4.5 - The only adjustments allowed to the car are those allowed by the original MFG components of the car
4.6 - You are allowed to use any original wheel spacer combination (Black, Grey or any combination of both types)
4.7 - Transmission functionality rule (motor cannot spin while turning slowly one rear wheel a full turn)
4.8 - Traxxas SLASH *STEEL* transmission gears only (internal plastic transmission gears not allowed)
4.9 - Adding weight (in any way) is not allowed, wheel balancing is allowed (sole purpose of balancing, not to add weight)

5 SUSPENSION
5.1 - TRAXXAS 2WD plastic shocks only (grey or black version) (front shocks in front, rears in rear)
5.2 - Original Rear (TRAXXAS 5858) and Front springs (TRAXXAS 5857) (no LCG kit springs or aftermarket springs)
5.3 - Front springs may be cut in order to shorten them (no more than 5 round removed on ONE end)
5.4 - The shock’s travel may be shortened with internal shims (ie..fuel tube or solid shims...)
5.5 - Original shafts in original cylinder (length and type in proper cylinder)
5.6 - Original pistons from kit only (original 1,2 or 3 hole), no modifications can be made to them
5.7 - No front bump stop suspension, a single original blue bump stop can be used per rear shock (not mandatory)
5.8 - No shimming allowed (to reduce slop in suspension parts)
5.9 - All suspension parts (such as A-Arms) must remain in original positions it was designed for (no swapping left to right)
5.9.1 - rear camber links must remain in original height position (upper hole on shock tower not allowed)

7 CARPET OVAL SPECIFIC RULES
7.1 - TRAXXAS Low CG chassis is allowed
7.2 - MOTOR - Hobbywing 13.5 fixed timing motor only ( part # 30408010 or 30408005)
7.3 - a single motor fan can be used
7.4 - ESC - Justock ESC (part # 30112000 and 30112003)
7.5 - Tires- JACO tires (JAC2055LP) only **can be trued** (must keep its FULL WIDTH, it is allowed to round the edges) OR Bandito C2 or C3 compound. Hoosier G60 M3 and M compounds. DE Phenom D30, D40 or Clay compound.

7.6 - Plastic Wheel caps are allowed with a max dia of 3.125” and must be secured with a min of 2 screws/wheel
7.7 - You may use a bead of “CA” type glue or ‘’tape’’ to the RIGHT FRONT tire side wall to reduce the car’s aggressiveness

TRAXXAS SLASH SUPER STOCK

Motor/ESC
1. Hobbywing Justock 13.5 fixed timing motor/esc combo

Battery / Electronics
1. Any 2s 7.4v LiPo, 5200 50c 8.44v MAX (NO LPHV)
2. Any steering servo

3. Open Radio

3. Stock transmission case or RPM case with Traxxas parts inside
4. Aluminum hubs, casters and shock caps are legal. No other aluminum parts
5. Stock 2wd Traxxas Slash shocks with aluminum caps. Limiters are ok
6. RPM A arms are legal
7. Must run 48 pitch gears. Spur gears must be stock 2wd Traxxas gears.

Any other modification will be considered illegal

Tamiya TT

This class will be run during on-road and oval race days.

Tamiya TT is designed to be an entry level class for beginners to get into on-road racing at a low cost with a platform that is easy to work on and has limited tuning options to worry about. This objective of this class is learning to drive and race other drivers and not about the fast part/adjustment of the week. Experienced racers who wish to join this class are encouraged to use their experience and knowledge to help the beginners for whom the class is intended. Searching for gray areas and ways to exploit the rules for a speed advantage is highly discouraged and may result in your removal from the class.

RULES: Tamiya TT-01 and TT-02 kits only Battery: Any 2 cell hard cased LiPo battery, maximum 8.44 volts
ESC: Any brushed speed control with any battery connector, must have the Tamiya bullet connectors for motor hook-up, no direct soldering the motor.
Motor: 23 turn Tamiya RS-540 Torque-Tuned Motor Part (TAM54358)

Gearing: TT-0161T spur and 22T pinion part# 50357. TT-02 70T spur and 25T pinion part# 50477.

Shocks: Kit friction dampers or Tamiya plastic CVA oil filed shocks. Springs: Kit or CVA chrome springs only. All 4 springs must be the same.
Body: Stock 1/10 scale lexan car body that is a close facsimile to an actual production vehicle. NO touring car bodies!
Tires: Stock kit tires or optional Gravity spec USGT tires only.
Ride Height: Minimum 6mm with a droop minimum of 10mm. Droop will be measured by placing the chassis on 10mm blocks and all 4 tires must maintain contact with the surface the blocks are on. This rule is to minimize the number of limiters in the shocks and to maintain suspension movement.
Differentials: Stock gear differentials only, no sealed gear or ball dills. Grease only in the differential, diff action must be free and easy, NO locked differentials.

No extra added weight

Optional Part Upgrades: TAMIYA and YEAH Racing Option parts that are legal: Bearings, Tamiya plastic CVA shocks, 53619, 50746, 54753 Tamiya Aluminum wheel hex's Part tt's 53569, 53570, 53823 Tamiya aluminum motor mount 11-01 53666, TT-02 54558 Tamiya aluminum propeller shaft: TT-0153620 TT-01E 54026, TT-02 54501, 54502, Tamiya universal sets: TT-01 53790 & 53792,1-T-02 54477 & 53792 Tamiya Aluminum steering set: TT-0154058, TT-02 54574, 54575, 54752 Tamiya turnbuckle set: TT-0153662 Any servo saver or solid servo arm (servo saver is recommended over the solid arm) Screws may be replaced with better hardware. Motor heatsinks are allowed but absolutely not necessary.

Recommended option parts are bearings and the plastic oil filled shocks.

USGT

This class will be run during on-road and oval race days.

Zer0 Mod Bandit

(6-15-23) This class will be run on oval race days.

Based on the latest Traxxas 2WD Bandit chassis, the basic kit has 80% of what you need to get started in this class. You will also need a Zero Mod Wingless Sprint Body for $50-$60 (available at HVRCS) with over 12 colors to choose from no 2 will look the same. You will have to add your choice of the 4 spec tires options (see rules below) we will run. **REMEMBER** If it’s not specifically listed in the rules, then it’s likely not allowed. Our rules are NOT here for you to work the gaps or push the limits, they are here for another fun class. NO shenanigans!

We have created 2 classes, STOCK and OUTLAW. Stock is for beginners just looking for an inexpensive way to get into the hobby. Outlaw is for more seasoned racers for these "Pocket Rockets" with just about any hop-up part you like. **REMEMBER** If it’s not specifically listed in the rules, then it’s likely not allowed. Our rules are NOT here for you to work the gaps or push the limits, they are here for another fun class. NO shenanigans!

All cars must conform to appearance, radio, general, battery and motor rules and comply with the ‘spirit’ of your class. All decisions of the track/race director organizing a race concerning appearance and 'spirit' are final.

Pan Car ARCA Series 1/10 scale

(9/19/23) Pan Car ARCA Series:
Chassis: Any rear wheel direct drive pan car chassis. No flipping of the rear pod, you can not run the motor on the left side or motor in reverse.
Electronics: Hobbywing 1060 ESC / Open Radio / Open servo
Battery: REEDY WolfPack 2s 3000mah hardcase shorty 30c (ASC758) MUST use a connector from Battery to ESC

Gearing: Must use 48 pitch 90 tooth spur and OPEN tooth pinion.
Tires: Must use either World GT Purple/Blue OR Yellow SPEC tires only : Blue Stripe- BXRF1034GT / BXRF1033GT Yellow Stripe Silver - White or White/Gray compound-RJS2530 / RJS2520 / BXRF4003SP / BXRF4004SP. All for colors must match, 4 Blues or 4 yellows.
No trued tires / 2.20" diameter minimum, front and rear
Body: Currently approved bodies are as follows:

For all approved bodies a spoiler with a MAX height of 1.5” from the deck lid may be used (spoiler is optional). Wings of any type may NOT be used. Rear of body left in, no cut outs. No less than 2in from ground to bottom of the rear bumper. 4 1/4" roof height / 2 1/2" center of front hood height.
Bodies must resemble a race car with car numbers on sides/roof, with grill/headlights (decal or painted).
Body scrapping is not allowed or any other means for the purpose of lightening.

No receiver packs aloud.

Motor: Must use Dynamite 20T brushed motor with factory bullet connector leads. Motors can not be opened from original factory state. You can NOT solder direct, must use the BULLET connectors to motor to ESC. You may shorten motor lead wire on the ESC only Bullets must remain intact. No fans allowed on the motor during racing. No 'freezing' motor with the intent of motor to be below ambient temperature at the start of the race. Clip-on heat sinks allowed. Original Dynamite 20T sticker MUST be affixed firmly to the can for easy identification. Tech reserves the right to mark/etch motors for easy identification.

Winners or TQs motor can be claimed for $25. 2nd can buy 1st, 3rd can buy 2nd, 4th can buy 3rd (end of event)(must complete/finish the A- main to be eligible).

Weight and Ride Height: 32 ounces minimum race ready. 4mm ride height min.

**Rules may be tweaked and changed as needed.

1RC Late Model General Rules

(10-1-23)
All Late Model Cars must be complete cars with all bodywork, faux engine,driver figure and the like.
Cars should have a number on each side of the body at a minimum.

Taping or gluing the the right front tire is okay and the track rule is Tire Prep IS okay.
We reserve the right to inspect all parts of the car including a complete tear down if you podium.

Simple low to no cost mods allowed: These mods have been shown to improve the consistency and drive-ability of the car, especially when using a Lipo battery. If you need assistance performing these mods ask a fellow racer or track official.
Venting shocks by drilling cap permitted and recommended.
Adding lube (Green Slime) to the shocks internal o-ring (OPTIONAL).

Class: Stock Late Model (NIMH)
Chassis: 1RC Box Stock
Battery: 1RC Box Stock 5 Cell
Radio: 1RC Box Stock
ESC/Rx: 1RC Box Stock
Servo: 1RC servo only (1RC7020) or (1RC7017)
Motor: 1RC 8700kv w/10T Pinion 9200KV MAX
Gears: Stock LM gears Only (1RC4001) (no mixing of gears)
Suspension: Stock Silver Springs and Plastic shock only C-clips are legal.
Tires: Any 1RC Late Model (treaded) HARD or SOFT Tire
Body: 1RC Late Model Body must be complete with all bodywork, faux engine,driver figure and the like.

Class: LIMITED Late Model (Lipo) - Same as above except:
Battery: Any 2s 300mah 80c or less Lipo
Motor: 1RC 8700 Brushless Motor w/ 10T Pinion 9300KV Max (NO MOTOR TAMPERING / The motor can not be opened/glued/ shimmed or resealed for any reason this includes the motor wires going into the motor. Any motor that resembles tampering will not be legal and will be disqualified) ****Subject to PRE and POST TECH at the Race directors discretion.
ESC: 1RC 1RC7014
Radio/Rx: Open/Any
Mods Allowed: Any 1RC option part for the Late Model (Except the 10,000 kv Motor 1RC7011)

Motor: 1RC 10,000KV Brushless Motor w/ 10T Pinion (1RC7011)

Radio/Rx: Open/Any
Body: Any production 1RC body that covers the wheels and must be painted.
Mods Allowed: Any 1RC option part for the Late Model
